About Wildwood Pro Plumbing

Wildwood Pro Plumbing is a 24/7 plumbing dispatch and service line for Wildwood, MO and the towns nearby. We take your call, work out what is wrong, and send a licensed plumber.

We do not list a headcount, an owner or a founding date on this page. The plumbing is done by licensed contractors we dispatch, and we would rather say so plainly than invent a story.

What Wildwood Pro Plumbing is

We are a dispatch and service line. You call one number, a dispatcher listens to the problem, and the job goes to a licensed plumber who works your part of St. Louis County. Our listed business address is 16721 Main St, Wildwood, MO 63040, in the Town Center area.

The network behind the line includes several licensed contractors, so the plumber who arrives at your door may not be the same one who helped a neighbor. That is why we are careful about what we claim. We say "licensed and insured" because that is what we stand behind for every plumber we send, and we say nothing about team size or years in business because those numbers would not describe the contractors who actually come out.

How a call works

  1. 1

    You describe the problem.

The dispatcher asks where the water is, whether the main valve is shut, and whether the house is on Missouri American Water or a private well. A well changes the diagnosis.

  2. 2

    Urgency is sorted honestly.

A burst pipe or sewage backup goes out as an emergency at any hour. A dripping faucet gets a daytime slot. If your problem is a gas smell, you are told to leave the building and call Spire or 911 first.

  3. 3

    A licensed plumber is assigned.

The job is matched to a licensed contractor who covers your address. Same-day appointments are offered when available, and no arrival time is promised on the phone.

  4. 4

You get a clear price before work starts.

The plumber inspects, explains the options and states the price. You can say yes, or say no and keep the diagnosis.

What we do and what we do not do

Here is the line between plumbing work and everything around it.

  • We do:

Drain and sewer clearing, leak finding, burst pipe and water line repair, water heaters, fixtures, sump pumps and commercial plumbing calls.

  • We do not:

Respond to gas leaks. If you smell gas, leave the building and call Spire or 911 before calling a plumber.

  • We do not:

Repair structural foundations, dry out water damage or replace drywall and flooring after a leak.

  • We do not:

Pump septic tanks or operate subdivision treatment plants, though a plumber can tell you whether a problem sits in the house or beyond it.

  • We cannot:

Tell you whether insurance will pay. Sudden burst damage is often covered, wear and gradual leaks often are not, and your policy decides.

  • We cannot:

Quote a price before anyone has seen the problem. Prices are given on site, before work starts.

How to verify any plumber's licence

Missouri plumbers are licensed locally rather than by one statewide office. In St. Louis County, licensing runs through the Board of Plumbing Examiners, part of the county Department of Transportation and Public Works, Plumbing Licensing. You can ask that office to confirm a licence for any plumber, including ours.

Do this before work starts. Ask the plumber for the name on the licence, whether it is a journeyman or master licence, and whether the licence is current. St. Louis County's own residential permit flyer says plumbing work must be done by a licensed Master Plumber or a qualifying homeowner. A plumber who will not name the licence is a reason to stop.

The Wildwood we work in

Wildwood was incorporated in 1995 and covers about 68 square miles of hilly, wooded country on the Ozark foothills. The Census Bureau estimated its population at 34,955 in 2025 and the median home at the year 1992. About 42.8 percent of its 13,391 homes were built before 1990, so older water heaters, supply lines and drain pipes come up often.

Water in the city comes mostly from Missouri American Water, but many property owners west of State Route 109 are on private wells, and many homes outside MSD boundaries have no public sewer. We ask about that on every call because it changes who owns the pipe that has failed.

Permits and code

Wildwood has adopted the St. Louis County Plumbing Code, Chapter 1103, as its own plumbing code. The city says new or replaced plumbing needs a building permit, but permit rules vary by job. Ask the Wildwood building department before a large project.

Beyond the city line

We also dispatch to Ellisville, Ballwin, Chesterfield and Eureka, each with a different mix of housing, water and sewer. The full service list is on the services page, and how to reach us is on the contact page.

Questions we hear in Wildwood, MO

We are a dispatch and service line that sends licensed contractors to your address. We do not claim a fleet size or staff count, because the contractors we send work under their own licences.

A licensed plumber from the contractors we dispatch. Ask the plumber for the licence name when they arrive, and verify it with the St. Louis County Board of Plumbing Examiners if you want to be sure.

Yes. The line is 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays, and urgent problems such as burst pipes and sewage backups are routed as emergencies. We do not promise an arrival time.

Call the dispatch line. It is the way to reach us at any hour. Our listed address is 16721 Main St, Wildwood, MO 63040, but please call rather than stopping by.

A gas smell, an electrical hazard or structural water damage belongs with the utility, an electrician or a restoration company. We will tell you so on the call instead of sending a plumber who cannot help.
