Drain Cleaning
Clears slow sinks, kitchen clogs and backed-up tubs so water moves again without chemical cleaners eating at your pipes.
View serviceA burst pipe, a sewer backup or a water heater emptying onto the floor does not wait for business hours. Wildwood Pro Plumbing is a 24/7 plumbing dispatch and service line for Wildwood, MO and the towns around it, and the licensed plumbers we send handle everything from a stuck drain to a failed water line.
If water is moving where it should not, shut off the main valve first, then call our 24/7 line and tell the dispatcher what you see. Same-day appointments are offered when available, and you will get a clear price before work starts.

The emergency line is answered around the clock, every day of the year.

View serviceSome plumbing problems cannot sit until morning. Water spreading across a finished basement, sewage coming up through a floor drain, a pipe that let go inside a wall and a water heater tank pouring onto the floor all belong here. If you are searching for an emergency plumber because nobody else can come tonight, start with a phone call instead of more searching.
The dispatch line is open nights, weekends and holidays. The dispatcher asks where the water is coming from, whether you can reach the shutoff and which part of the house is affected, then routes the job to a licensed plumber. That short conversation is how a 24/7 emergency plumber service decides who goes to your address first.
We do not promise an arrival time on the phone, because traffic on Highway 109 and Manchester Road, the plumber's current job and the weather all change it. If your problem can safely wait for a daytime visit, we will tell you that instead of pushing a middle-of-the-night call.
These steps limit damage and keep everyone safe until help arrives.
It is usually where the line enters the house, often in a basement or utility room near the water heater. Turn it clockwise until it stops. If your home runs on a private well, the shutoff may sit near the pressure tank.
When sewage or gray water is rising, every flush, shower or washer cycle sends more into the house. Keep children and pets out of the affected area.
Do not stand in water to reach a panel, and do not touch outlets or cords that are wet. If you see sparks or smell burning, leave and call 911.
It sits on the pipe above the tank. If the heater is electric, switch off its breaker only if you can reach it while standing on dry floor.
Pictures of the leak, the wet areas and any damaged items help with an insurance claim or a landlord report. Lift valuables off wet floors.
It rarely clears a deep blockage, and splashing caustic liquid at a plumber working on the line is a hazard. Wait for the plumber instead.
Not every plumbing problem is a midnight call. This table shows how we sort them, so you can decide quickly.
| Situation | Call now? | What to do first |
|---|---|---|
| Pipe burst or water pouring from a wall | Yes, any hour | Shut the main valve and move valuables |
| Sewage backing up into a tub or floor drain | Yes, any hour | Stop all water use and keep people out |
| Water heater leaking from the tank | Yes, any hour | Close the cold inlet valve and cut power |
| No hot water and no leak | Same day if possible | Check the breaker or pilot, then call |
| One slow drain, everything else fine | Can wait for a daytime visit | Avoid chemical cleaners |
| Dripping faucet or running toilet | Can wait for a daytime visit | Close the fixture's stop valve |
| Smell of gas | Leave first, call Spire or 911 | This is a utility call before ours |
If you are unsure which row fits, call and describe what you see.
Call the line and describe what you see. We will tell you if it can wait.
Most calls fall into a few groups. Clogs and slow lines go to drain cleaning, and root-filled or greasy lines may need hydro jetting. Sewage in the lowest drain of the house points to sewer line cleaning or, if the pipe itself has failed, sewer line repair.
Water that should not be moving calls for burst pipe repair when a pipe has failed, leak detection when the meter keeps spinning and you cannot see why, and water line repair when the trouble sits between the meter and the house. Tanks that leak or quit are handled through water heater repair and water heater replacement.
Fixture jobs such as toilet repair, faucet repair and garbage disposal repair are usually daytime work. Wet basements bring in sump pump repair, and shops and offices can use commercial plumbing. The full list is on our services page.
Inside the city, calls come from neighborhoods such as Old Grover Estates and Meadows at Cherry Hills near the Town Center, Villages at Brightleaf, Westglen Farms off Manchester Road, Winding Trails, Homestead Estates at Wildwood and Babler Hills. The Lake Chesterfield area, the historic community of Grover and the shops around Wildwood Town Center are part of the same service picture.
The city's own address listings use ZIP codes 63040, 63038, 63005 and 63025, so a Wildwood mailing address can fall under any of them. Give the dispatcher your street address and nearest cross street rather than relying on the ZIP alone.
Past the city line, we also dispatch to Ellisville just east on Manchester Road, Ballwin a little farther east, Chesterfield to the north and Eureka to the south, where 63025 is the main ZIP. Chesterfield addresses use 63017 or 63005, and Ballwin and Ellisville addresses mostly use 63011 or 63021. Our areas page explains each town.
Missouri American Water supplies much of Wildwood, and the city's FAQ points sewer questions to MSD Project Clear. The city's master plan also says many property owners west of State Route 109, and some to the east, are on well water, and that development outside MSD boundaries lacks public sewer. So a pressure tank or well pump problem is a different job from a water main break, and a septic or subdivision treatment plant is not an MSD line.
The master plan describes the city as rolling, hilly woodland on the Ozark foothills, with soils that are sensitive to erosion. Hillside lots often mean basements below grade, and a sump pump that quits during a hard rain can flood a lower level quickly. Tell the dispatcher if your house sits on a slope.
Census data puts the median Wildwood home at 1992, and about 42.8 percent of the city's housing units were built before 1990. In houses that age, the first water heater has often come and gone, braided supply lines under sinks and toilets are decades old and drain lines carry years of grease or roots. Those three are the first places to look when an older home develops a leak or a slow drain.
In January 2025 the City of Wildwood warned residents that as temperatures drop, the likelihood of water line issues increases, with frozen pipes becoming more common. If a pipe on an exterior wall stops delivering water during a hard freeze, shut the main valve before it thaws, then call. A frozen pipe that cracks releases its water only when the ice melts.
We dispatch licensed plumbers for drains, sewer lines, water heaters, leaks, burst pipes, fixtures, sump pumps and commercial plumbing. We are licensed and insured, we give a clear price before work starts and we do not publish prices on this site because a price depends on what the plumber finds.
We do not handle gas leaks, structural foundation repair, water damage drying or repairs to drywall and flooring, and we do not pump septic tanks or run subdivision treatment plants. If you smell gas, leave the building and call Spire or 911 before you call a plumber. Whether your insurance covers a loss is up to your policy, not to us.
Plumbing in Wildwood falls under the St. Louis County Plumbing Code as adopted by the city. Permit rules vary by job, so ask the Wildwood building department before a big project. To check any plumber's licence, see how to do it on our about page.
Tell the dispatcher where the water is, whether the main is off and if anyone is in danger. Say whether you are on city water or a private well.
If it is a burst pipe or sewage backup, it goes out as an emergency. If it is a slow drain or a dripping tap, you may be offered a daytime slot.
The job goes to a licensed plumber who works your side of town. Same-day appointments are offered when available.
The plumber looks at the problem and gives a clear price before work begins. You approve it or decline it.
Call and describe it. The dispatcher will tell you honestly if it can wait for daylight.

Eureka's water and sewer have been owned by Missouri American Water since 2022, so many plumbing calls start with that utility.
Plumbing in EurekaEllisville homeowners own their sewer laterals, and a $28 annual fee funds the city's lateral repair program.
Plumbing in EllisvilleChesterfield Valley sits behind a levee, and residents pay a $28 yearly fee to fund the city's sewer lateral repair program.
Plumbing in ChesterfieldBallwin's median home dates to 1973 per its city plan, so aging water heaters and sewer laterals are common calls.
Plumbing in BallwinYes. The dispatch line runs 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. A dispatcher takes the call, asks a few questions about the water, the drain or the heater, and sends the job to a licensed plumber.
We do not promise an arrival time, because it depends on distance, traffic and the plumber's current job. We will tell you what can be done tonight and what can wait.
Shut off the main water valve, then turn on a low faucet to drain the lines if you can reach one safely. Keep people away from wet outlets and appliances, and move valuables out of the water's path.
Then call our dispatch line. Photograph the damage before you clean up, because your insurer or landlord may ask for pictures.
The City of Wildwood's own address listings use 63040, 63038, 63005 and 63025. We also send plumbers to nearby towns, including Eureka (63025), Ellisville and Ballwin (63011 and 63021) and Chesterfield (63017 and 63005).
ZIP codes cross city lines here, so give the dispatcher your full street address.
It depends on the street. The city's master plan says many property owners west of State Route 109, and some to the east, use well water, but the city does not manage utility records.
Check your water bill. If you receive one from Missouri American Water, you are on public water. If you do not, you likely have a well, and the St. Louis County Department of Health lab offers well water testing.
No. A drain, a leaking tank and a failed water line can look alike from the outside and cost very different amounts once the plumber sees them. You get a clear price before work starts.
Insurance is a separate question. Sudden burst damage is often covered, while wear and gradual leaks often are not, and your policy decides.
Permit rules vary, so ask the Wildwood building department before the job. The city says new or replaced plumbing generally needs a building permit and points questions to St. Louis County Public Works, but it does not spell out a rule for water heaters.
Our water heater replacement page covers the decision itself.
Missouri plumbers are licensed locally. In St. Louis County, the Board of Plumbing Examiners, part of the Department of Transportation and Public Works, handles plumbing licensing. Ask the plumber for a licence name and verify it with that office.
More detail is on the about page. Please call us if you have a question about who will arrive.
